Whew, what an exhausting day! I was so busy that I didn’t even get to visit my chiropractor — even though I didn’t take my usual short afternoon nap.
Being a business owner is exhausting. And rewarding. And not in that order.
I completed strength work as the 11:45amers were entering the box.
Strength/Skills
Snatch drop
Snatch balance
Heaving snatch balance
I worked up to 2 sets @ 75#. I could’ve gone heavier but I ran out of time.
Today’s other skill was windshield wipers.
Conditioning
17-minutes total
5-min AMRAP
— 5 push-jerks (55 – 65% of 1RM)
— 5/leg jumping lunges
Rest 1 minute
4-minute AMRAP
— 4 push presses
— 4/leg jumping lunges
Rest 1 minute
3-minute AMRAP
— 3 presses
— 3/leg jumping lunges
Rest 1 minute
2-minute AMRAP
— Windshield wipers
I push jerked 90#, as my push jerk 1RM is 165#. My goal (and the goal I set for all athletes) was to complete all rounds of reps unbroken. I did just that. I also set a goal to complete the same number of rounds per push jerk/jumping lunges AMRAPs.
AMRAP 5 | 8 rounds + 5 reps
AMRAP 4 | 8 rounds + 4 reps
AMRAP 3 | 8 rounds + 5 reps
That’s pretty damned close.
I completed strict, i.e., hanging from the bar and executing with proper form, windshield wipers in sets of 20, 15, 10, 5, 5, 5, & 5 for a total of 65 reps.
Total score = 271
Too tired to write much more…
