Wall crawls and more…

Ugh, I came down with the cold that Jeff and so many others have had. I began to feel under the weather during Wednesday’s 6:30 pm session, and woke up Thursday (the 4th of July) with a pounding headache. Jeff was kind enough to coach all 3 Thursday sessions, and this allowed me to sleep. Until noon. Yup, I slept until noon.

I completed Tuesday’s workout after coaching the 11:45 session.

AFAP
2 wall crawls

50 grasshoppers (per leg)
30 Abmat sit-ups
4 wall crawls
40 grasshoppers
30 Abmat sit-ups
6 wall crawls
30 grasshoppers
30 Abmat sit-ups
8 wall crawls
20 grasshoppers
30 Abmat sit-ups
10 wall crawls
10 grasshoppers
30 Abmat sit-ups

This was tough, but enjoyable. My goal, of course, was to complete all rounds unbroken. I am sad to say that I was only able to complete sit-ups unbroken. I completed rounds of 2, 4, & 6 wall crawls unbroken, but by the last round of 10 was completing 1 at a time, and taking my my time resting on the floor between reps. I completed the rounds of 50 and 10 (or 100 and 20 if you count each leg as a rep) unbroken, and the rest of the rounds in sets of 10.

Mountain climbers were by far the most difficult part of the workout.

Time = 14:12.

I didn’t work out yesterday. I did sleep 20 hours, though.

There are 2 things I need to help overcome an illness: rest and exercise. I worked out after coaching the 8:30 session.

20 RFT
—5 strict ring dips
10 box jumps, 24″
15 unbroken double unders

So, that’s 100 ring dips, 200 box jumps, and 300 double unders. I most certainly worked up a very good sweat.

I set aside 4 stacks of 5 poker chips. Luke sauntered by and glanced at the poker chips, and I made sure to tell him to “leave it”. And he did. Good boy!

Surprisingly, box jumps were the most challenging activity. I nonetheless completed all rounds of box jumps, as well as ring dips, unbroken. I had to redo rounds 1, 2, & 9, and 19 of double unders, i.e., it took me 2 attempts to complete 15 unbroken double unders. I made it to 14 on round 9 before failing the very last rep. That hurt.

Time = 24:47.

No, this will not be programmed tomorrow. Yes, this will likely be programmed in the very near future (although fewer rounds).
